Funerals and Memorial Services
Recognition and celebration of a loved one’s life through a funeral or memorial service is very important. Funerals and Memorial services play a vital part in the grieving process. They allow people to express their sorrow and grief over a loved one’s passing while providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together. They are a “Celebration of Life”, giving people an opportunity to share memories, special moments, and appreciation of the impact the “loved one” had on those around them. We can help you plan a special funeral or memorial service in our Church Chapel that honours and remembers your loved one.
We welcome enquiries about funerals and memorials, and will work with you to design a service that celebrates the special memories of your loved one.
Our Church chapel is available for funerals and memorial services with seating for up to 150 people, located in Mairangi Bay on Auckland’s North Shore.
The Church hall and a full kitchen are also available for hire to serve refreshments after the service if needed.
There is also an enclosed courtyard with children’s area if you need fresh air or some timeout.

Funerals or Memorial Services to honour your special loved one
The Church building is the worship centre of our faith community. We are happy to welcome you to share our sanctuary.
The Church is equipped with an excellent sound system and projector system as well as a piano.
A funeral service is a sacred moment that provides a formal opportunity to say goodbye. We will work with you to make sure it honours your loved one.
As a Christian Church, we recognise that a funeral service is held to commemorate the deceased, provide comfort to the bereaved, and affirm the belief in an eternal life, thanks to the resurrection of Jesus.

Chapel hire. | $350*
Minister’s funeral service fee | $400 + travel costs etc.

There is no Chapel hire charge for the family of active Church members.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I just hire a Minister and not the church?
Yes, the cost for the Minister is $400 plus travel and any other costs incurred
Can I use my own officiant or Minister?
Yes you can. The person will still need to be approved by the Minister before the funeral goes ahead and an administration fee of $325 applies.
When is the church available?
We will work around all the church activities, of which you can find in our calendar, to help find a suitable time for you.
How many people can fit?
About 150 people.
The chapel fits approximately 100 people. The side doors can be opened into the foyer for extended seating and allows for a further 50 people.
Can a hearse drive right up to the front door?
Yes.
Can I use the church piano?
The piano can be hired for $30
You will need to arrange your own musician/pianist and consult our minister to be approved.
